U.S. stock market lasted flat on Tuesday after following a steady bearish trend all day long. Equity indexes were pressured right from the beginning following some overnight developments that weighed on sentiments. The
market tried to overcome the early weakness, but could not stage
sustained rebound, which resulted in follow-trough selling in the
afternoon. Home sales data due on Wednesday is expected to come
negative for the economy further pressurizing the stock market.
