NYSE Last Session Overview

U.S. stock market closed flat on Wednesday with concerns over latest policy meeting by the Federal reserve. The stock market rallied shortly after the Fed minutes release at 2 pm. The Dow rose 30 points before falling back with investors concern over interest rate hike in early 2015. The Fed also cut its inflation outlook for the fourth quarter and early next year due to falling oil prices. The lack of inflation could allow the Fed to hold off a little while longer before deciding to raise rates. Employment report along with consumer price data is due on Thursday, which are expected to support the bulls to take the equity market at new highs.

U.S. stock market ended on a flat note on Monday, pausing after the S&P 500's biggest weekly gain since January 2013, while energy shares fell with another decline in oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 11.05 points, or 0.07%, to 16816, the S&P 500 lost 3.06 points or 0.16% to 1961.52 and the NASDAQ Composite added 2.22 points or 0.05% to 4485.93.  U.S. stock market ended Red on Tuesday, with major indexes falling more than 1%  each, as weak data out of Germany raised concerns about the strength of global growth ahead of the start of earnings session. The Consumer Credit report for August was released by the Federal Reserve and it showed that consumer credit increased by $13.50 billion which was lower than the estimate of $20.00 billion. FOMC Meeting Minutes is due on Wednesday, which is expected to come positive for the economy.
