U.S. stock market overview

US stock market overview
U.S. stock market ended on a flat note, rebounding from an early 200 point plunge on the Dow that was sparked by more growth concerns. The selling over the past month has wiped out gains for this year leaving all the major indexes to their bottoms. Consumer sentiment data due on Friday is expected to come positive for the economy. Also, market volatility is expected during Fed Chair Yellen Speech.

The overseas developments contributed to a lower start, but the key indexes wasted little time in staging a rebound. Consumer confidence data is due on Tuesday, which is expected to come positive for the economy strengthening the overall bullish trend of the market.

US stock market ended green on Wednesday after having a shaky start at the beginning of the day. The health care sector lead the market with a rally of around 1.7% and Biotechnology shares rising 2.8%. Others included consumer discretionary with 1% rise with home builders not performing very well. Employment data is due on Thursday which is expected to support the economy giving the bulls in the market to strengthen their positions once again.

U.S. Stock market Friday's overview

US stock market ended red with slight movement. Alibaba did very well on its debut in NASDAQ, but it could not do much for the market as its gains were offset by falling technology stocks. For the week Dow rose 1.7%, the S&P rose 1.3% and the NASDAQ rose to 0.3%. With no major data due on Monday, market is expected to trade in range with less volume.
