U.S. stock market overview

US stock market overview
U.S. stock market ended on a flat note, rebounding from an early 200 point plunge on the Dow that was sparked by more growth concerns. The selling over the past month has wiped out gains for this year leaving all the major indexes to their bottoms. Consumer sentiment data due on Friday is expected to come positive for the economy. Also, market volatility is expected during Fed Chair Yellen Speech.

U.S. stock market witnessed a sharp selling trend on Friday with all major indices  recording their major weekly decline in last two years. Market is volatile on concerns about slowing economic growth. Bad economic data with dovish statement is causing weakness in share market. U.S. Stock Market Overview



U.S. stock market ended the Wednesday session on a bullish note despite enduring a bearish start. The first half of the session saw a brief dip into the red that was fuelled by the weakness in energy sector which was later ended in 1% profit after the FOMC minutes sparkled an afternoon rally that likely featured a short-covering component. Employment claims data is due on Thursday which is expected to come positive for the economy to support bulls in the market.

NYSE Overview

 U.S. stock market ended Red on Tuesday, with major indexes falling more than 1%  each, as weak data out of Germany raised concerns about the strength of global growth ahead of the start of earnings session. The Consumer Credit report for August was released by the Federal Reserve and it showed that consumer credit increased by $13.50 billion which was lower than the estimate of $20.00 billion. FOMC Meeting Minutes is due on Wednesday, which is expected to come positive for the economy.

U.S. stock market ended flat


US stock market today's overview

U.S. stock market lasted flat  on Tuesday after following a steady bearish trend all day long. Equity indexes were pressured right from the beginning following some overnight developments that weighed on sentiments. The market tried to overcome the early weakness, but could not stage sustained rebound, which resulted in follow-trough selling in the afternoon. Home sales data due on Wednesday is expected to come negative for the economy further pressurizing the stock market.
