US stock market last session's overview

US stock market ended the third quarter on a cautious note on Tuesday with small caps leasing the retreat. Equity indexes endured another volatile trend after the S&P 500 alternated between gains and losses during the past five trading days. Non-farm employment and manufacturing data are due on Wednesday with which market is expected to trade volatile with high volume.

U.S. stock market overview

U.S. stock market began with modest losses on Thursday and continued heading lower through the first 90 minutes of the session. Investors also looked very little interested to buy on dips which resulted into new session lows until afternoon. GDP data is due on Friday, which is expected to come overall positive for the economy that might boost up investor sentiments in the market again.

U.S. stock market Wednesday's overview

US stock market ended green on Wednesday after having a shaky start at the beginning of the day. The health care sector lead the market with a rally of around 1.7% and Biotechnology shares rising 2.8%. Others included consumer discretionary with 1% rise with home builders not performing very well. Employment data is due on Thursday which is expected to support the economy giving the bulls in the market to strengthen their positions once again.

U.S. stock market ended flat


US stock market today's overview

U.S. stock market lasted flat  on Tuesday after following a steady bearish trend all day long. Equity indexes were pressured right from the beginning following some overnight developments that weighed on sentiments. The market tried to overcome the early weakness, but could not stage sustained rebound, which resulted in follow-trough selling in the afternoon. Home sales data due on Wednesday is expected to come negative for the economy further pressurizing the stock market.

US stock market Friday's overview

U.S. Stock market Friday's overview

US stock market ended red with slight movement. Alibaba did very well on its debut in NASDAQ, but it could not do much for the market as its gains were offset by falling technology stocks. For the week Dow rose 1.7%, the S&P rose 1.3% and the NASDAQ rose to 0.3%. With no major data due on Monday, market is expected to trade in range with less volume.

U.S. stock market today's overview

 U.S. stock market ended green after the Federal Reserve statement of not raising interest rate until summer 2015. Investors were pleased with Federal Reserve to keep its interest rate low for a considerable time even after its bond buying program is complete. Employment data is also expected to support the investor confidence positively to take market to much higher levels.
